👑 ROYAL SUMMARY

Killing Floor 3 is a solid return to one of my favorite zed cheek clapping franchises, but it didn't hook me the same way Killing Floor 2 did sadly.

The upgraded graphics, satisfying combat, and familiar wave-based gameplay make it easy to jump in for a few matches whenever I get that zombie, slaying itch. But after those few rounds, I usually found myself......... ready to move on instead of spending hours grinding like I did in the previous game.

It's still fun.👍🏾

It just hasn't become one of those games I lose an entire weekend playing. Like i wanted.

👑 THE CROWN SAYS

Killing Floor 3 doesn't try to reinvent the franchise......it builds on what made it fun in the first place.

🎮 GAMEPLAY

Killing Floor 3 feels like the perfect "jump in, jump out" game.

Whenever I wanted to blast through waves of Zeds for a couple of hours, it absolutely delivered.

But unlike Killing Floor 2, I never found myself saying, "One more level…" until suddenly it was three in the morning.

I'd jump in, get my zombie fix, and feel satisfied enough to hop off for the day.

What I Loved

✔️ Massive graphical upgrade.

✔️ Great zombie action.

✔️ Gore still feels satisfying.

✔️ Music fits the atmosphere.

✔️ Easy game to jump into with friends.

✔️ Cross-play keeps the community active.

Things to Improve

Honestly, this is where my biggest criticisms come in.

The biggest thing I kept wishing for was more maps. After spending enough time with the game, I started seeing the same locations over and over, and it made me want more variety.

The weapons also didn't leave the same impression that Killing Floor 2 did. They're fun to use, but very few of them felt memorable enough to make me excited.

Another thing I noticed was the progression. In Killing Floor 2, I could spend hours grinding levels without realizing how much time had passed. ....

It's not that the grind is bad..........it just didn't keep pulling me back the way the previous game did.

Normal difficulty also felt a little too forgiving with a full group. I understand it's meant to be accessible, but I would've liked bosses to put up a little more of a fight. Like I had alot of "Like really that's it." moments

🎨 VISUALS & PRESENTATION

The biggest upgrade in Killing Floor 3 is easily the visuals. The difference between this and Killing Floor 2 is immediately noticeable. The environments are more detailed, the lighting looks great.

As someone who went back and played Killing Floor 2 before this released, I could instantly appreciate how much work went into modernizing the series. Everything feels sharper, smoother, and much more detailed without losing the dark atmosphere that makes Killing Floor feel like...................... Killing Floor.

The maps themselves look great, but I found myself wishing there were simply more of them but Visually they're strong.

The menus and HUD are clean and easy to understand. I never felt lost trying to manage my loadout or navigate the game, which let me focus on what mattered most… surviving another wave of Zeds. GGRRRRRR...🧟

Could Be Better

More maps would go a long way toward improving replayability. More, More and More PLEASE!

Some of the weapons didn't feel as memorable.

Normal difficulty can feel a little too easy when playing with a full group. (Or could it be were just THAT good?)

The progression didn't hook me.

I wanted more reasons to keep grinding after a few matches.

🎵 SOUND & MUSIC

The soundtrack does exactly what it needs to do. It gets you hyped for the next wave, keeps the action moving, and fits the darker atmosphere of Killing Floor perfectly.

During combat, though, I found myself paying much more attention to the gunfire, explosions, enemy screams, and everything happening around me than the music itself. That's not necessarily a bad thing—it just means the action naturally takes center stage.

The sound effects are where the game really shines. Every weapon has a satisfying punch, the Zeds sound appropriately terrifying, and all the chaos happening around you makes every wave feel intense. Combined with the gore and visual effects, the audio helps sell the feeling that you're fighting to survive against overwhelming odds.

💥 Players who love wave-based survival games.

⚠️ Maybe Skip If

You're expecting a huge amount of content on day one.....

You want dozens of maps and weapons...

You're hoping it completely surpasses Killing Floor 2 in every way.....

👑 Final Thoughts

Killing Floor 3 is one of those games I'll happily come back to whenever I'm in

the mood to kill through waves of Zeds. It scratches that zombie shootin itch, looks fantastic.

I couldn't help comparing it to Killing Floor 2. While this sequel brings a huge visual upgrade, I found myself wishing

there were more maps, more memorable weapons, and a progression system that kept me hooked for

hours instead of just a few matches. For me, Killing Floor 3 is a "jump in, jump out" kind of game. I'll play for a while, have a

great time cheekin down zeds, get my satisfaction, and then move on until the next time.

Even with those criticisms, it's still a solid entry in the series and one I don't regret playing. If Tripwire continues adding

more maps, weapons, and content over time, I can easily see myself coming back again and again EHEHEHEHEHEHHE....
